Human-Wildlife Conflict Research
With farmland encroaching on previously wild terrain, conflict between humans and wildlife is inevitable, often resulting in the lethal control of large carnivores. At Naankuse, our wildlife research in Namibia focuses on mitigating human-carnivore conflict through scientifically-backed livestock protection methods. These include using thorn kraals, herders, guardian animals, and bio-deterrents. Our goal is to reduce persecution and increase tolerance through research, education, and innovative solutions.
