Kanaan N/a'an ku sê Desert Retreat

33,000 hectares of staggeringly beautiful preserved habitat in the Namib desert.Kanaan website

Approximately 2 hours south of Neuras and bordering the Namib Naukluft Park lies N/a’an ku sê’s newest research project site, Kanaan Desert Retreat. Previously utilised as a film, photography and holiday destination, we aim to establish there an unfenced wildlife reserve, which is based on scientific and sustainable management practices and which provides refuge for a suite of endangered species such as cheetah and hyena.

With ranging red dunes and crystal clear night skies speckled with infinite stars, Kanaan is truly a desert gemstone.

Volunteers and visitors have the possibility to gain insight to and participate in our Carnivore Ecology research, and enjoy a wide range of activities.
