December 2014 was certainly the month for orphan arrivals – with another member of the monkey family making our sanctuary his home. Tiny Gollum, an orphaned vervet monkey, was welcomed with open arms. Just irresistible, Gollum and Ash (our bouncy baby baboon at the time) soon became firm friends and spent a lot of time together – resulting in Gollum picking up some rather amusing baboon habits. He loves to groom and smacks his little lips together in greeting.

Gollum just loves his life at N/a’an ku sê and won everybody over in no time. Gollum is a big boy now and shares his large enclosure with fellow vervet monkeys Precious, Robyn and Bilbo. He still adores cuddles and giggles with delight when indulging in his monkey antics. N/a’an ku sê just wouldn’t be the same without him!

We do not receive any government funding and are solely reliant on generous donations to continue caring for the many orphaned, injured and conflict animals that call N/a’an ku sê home. We simply could not do what we do without our supporters and donors.
